This block print was the first time I tried a reduction print with multiple layers of color. It isn't perfect, but I enjoyed the process and will definitely try it again! You can see some of the process in this video on Instagram:
What tools would I need if I want to try the same process?
ReplyDeleteYou would need a carving tool (I like the Speedball Lino cut tool with interchangeable tips), a lino block (speedy carve from Speedball is a good beginner texture), ink (I use speedball and Blick brands), a brayer, and print paper. I have a draft blog post with more details about the overall process, but haven't ever finished it. I'll add that to the to-do list!
