Obligatory Back to School Post- Peek Inside My Classroom

Here's my obligatory back-to-school post with pictures of my classroom. It doesn't look too different from last year or the year before, with the exception of the bright paint :) but it does look quite different from when I first moved in!

Happy New School Year, Everyone!

  1. Where do you get your adorable letters? (The ones on your posters and bulletin boards.)

    1. Hi Glorea! My school has a die cut machine that I cut out the letters with- I think most of these pictured are the 3" letters, but we also have the 4" dies. I like to use cute cardstock or scrapbook paper, which stays brighter and doesn't fade like construction paper will. I think that we have an Ellison brand die cut machine- http://www.ellisoneducation.com/

    1. Julia, they are just normal chalk on black bulletin board paper, and then I ran them through the school laminator. Easy and essentially free for you do make! The possibilities are endless!

  4. Can you share specifics on how you created your Servant's Heart wall with the pockets?

    1. The pockets were cut out of jeans (old pairs, a few from a rummage sale) and then I stapled them on the bulletin board by putting the stapler into the pocket, if that makes sense. That allowed them to be attached, but I could still place things in the pockets, like our classroom jobs.
